Large Equipment Dispatch

Flatbed Dispatch

Flatbed dispatch for open-deck freight that needs to be loaded from the top or side — steel, machinery, lumber, and construction materials that won’t fit in an enclosed trailer.

5% dispatch fee — no long-term contracts.

Flatbed freight

Freight we dispatch

Steel coils and beams, heavy machinery, lumber and building materials, pipe, and other palletized or oddly shaped loads that load from above.

What flatbed dispatch involves

Tarping and load securement expectations vary by shipper, and oversize or overweight loads sometimes need state permits. We factor deck length, weight distribution, and permit needs into every load we book so you’re not caught off guard at the scale house.

What Apex handles for you

We source and vet flatbed loads in your lanes, negotiate the rate, coordinate any permit paperwork an oversize load requires, and confirm booking details before you commit.

Dispatch fee

5%

Per load, only when you get paid. Large equipment rate — see the Prices page for the full breakdown.

Flatbed dispatch FAQs

Yes. When a load needs a state permit, we factor that into the booking and coordinate the paperwork with you.

We work with standard 48’ and 53’ flatbeds. Tell us your trailer specs when you sign up so we only send loads that fit.

Most flatbed loads require you to supply your own tarps, straps, and chains. We’ll flag any load with unusual securement requirements before you book it.
